Six facts, kept apart
Sampraxis never collapses progress into one number. For every work package it keeps six separate facts, each with its own owner and evidence: reported (what the site team entered), measured (the Measurement Book), accepted (technical or consultant acceptance), certified (the commercial certification on a claim), billed and paid. A daily report never certifies completion; site measurement never rewrites the drawing quantity; quality acceptance never authorises payment.
What a work package is checked against
- Tasks and the approved estimate baseline, so progress is weighted by approved value, never by task count.
- Daily progress reports, labour and material entries, and photos.
- Measurement Book entries with their dimensions and drawing references.
- Quality inspections, concrete cube tests and soil tests.
- Curing entries and daily curing logs.
- Drawings, revisions and the drawing register; RFI, RFC and TQ queries.
- Task approval gates, GRNs, purchase orders and difference notices.
- Earned value and variance.
Each project runs an evidence profile that says which of these sources a work type needs. A source the profile does not require is not applicable; a source that should exist but is missing, stale or unavailable makes the package not evaluable.
Five statuses, in words
| Green | Required proof is applicable, available, fresh, aligned and passed. |
|---|---|
| Amber | Progress exists, but proof, variance, a decision or freshness needs action. |
| Red | A deterministic failure, blocker, rejection, over-use or unresolved NCR. |
| Not evaluable | Required truth is unavailable or unproven. Missing evidence is never shown as green. |
| Not applicable | The project's approved profile does not require this source. |
Every result carries the date its data was read, the time it was computed, a freshness status and the rule version that produced it, so two people looking at the same package see the same reasons.
Who sees what
Project managers see the full internal evidence and every reason. Site and store roles see execution, material, quality and blocker facts. Consultants see their discipline's evidence and decisions. Accountants see certified quantities and payment readiness. Clients see an approved, redacted summary: the Progress Confidence Report is built from the already-redacted view, never from internal rows filtered on screen.
AI cites. It never decides.
The source-cited Copilot can explain a status, name the evidence behind it, say how fresh that evidence is and which rule version applied. It cannot approve a drawing, certify work, release a task, create a deduction, post accounts or pay anyone. Those stay with the people allowed to do them.
