GRN at the site gate
Material management on most sites breaks at the gate: a lorry arrives, someone signs the delivery challan, and the office finds out at month end. In Sampraxis, the site engineer records the GRN against the purchase order on the Android app as the material is unloaded — quantity received, date and any shortfall — so the office sees the receipt the same day.
Stock by project, with low-stock alerts
Every receipt adds to the stock of that project and every issue to work takes it down. Set a minimum level for the materials that stop work when they run out — cement, steel, sand, blocks — and Sampraxis flags them as low stock on the materials screen and the dashboard before the site is left waiting.
From GRN to vendor bill to ledger
The vendor bill is checked against what was ordered and what was received, then posted with its GST. Input tax credit is recorded where the project's GST status allows it, and the vendor's balance updates in the same step. There is no second entry in an accounting package — see construction accounting.
Seeing where material goes
Material leakage shows up as a gap between what the work should have used and what was issued. When materials are linked to BOQ tasks, Sampraxis gives you the planned quantity for the work done to compare with what left the store, item by item and site by site.
