Completion that is submitted, accepted and handed over on evidence
Finishing work is a sequence of decisions, not a checkbox. The site submits completion with an immutable snapshot of its evidence; the technical authority accepts it, partially or fully; the project manager reviews it for billing; certificates and outstanding items are collected into a turnover package; and warranty obligations carry on past handover.
Built · in pilot rollout. The warranty vault is live in the private beta.
Completion submission
A submission names the task or work package, the completion level claimed and the lines it covers, and freezes an
evidence snapshot: the measurements, photos, tests, curing logs, drawing revisions and approvals that existed at that
moment. Later changes require a new submission, so what was accepted is always traceable to what was shown.
Acceptance and review
- Technical or consultant acceptance decides whether the work is complete and acceptable, in part or in full.
- The project manager’s review decides what is claimable, without authorising payment.
- Nobody accepts their own submission; partial acceptance rolls up correctly; offline decisions replay safely.
Certificates, turnover and warranty
Certificate requirements are defined per work type; supplied certificates are stored with their hash and version.
The turnover package records the completion level, outstanding items and whether any of them block handover, with
manifests for certificates, outstanding items and evidence. Warranty obligations and defect decisions follow the work
into the defects liability period, where the client sees them in the portal.
Frequently asked questions
Can a daily report close a task?
No. A DPR records what happened on a date. Completion is a separate submission with its own evidence snapshot, and acceptance is a separate decision by the technical authority.
Does acceptance mean the subcontractor gets paid?
No. Acceptance establishes that the work is complete and acceptable. The project manager’s review exposes what is claimable; certification and payment are later, separate decisions with their own controls.
What is a turnover package?
The bundle handed over at completion: certificates, outstanding items with their blockers, the evidence manifest and the completion level, each hashed so the package can be verified later.
