A geofence for every site
Set up each project’s boundary with a name, its latitude and longitude, the shift start and end, a grace period in minutes and a minimum time on site. Open the point in Google Maps to check it before saving; existing fences are listed so they can be checked and edited.
Punching in, and what the app checks
- The punch uses the phone’s GPS, with the accuracy shown on screen.
- If the phone reports a mock location, punching is disabled.
- Outside the geofence, the app asks why before it accepts the punch.
- Each person’s punch log for the day stays on the screen.
Exceptions go to a review queue
Punches that needed a reason land in an override queue. A reviewer accepts or rejects each one, and the attendance review and GPS attendance report show the result by site and by day.
Biometric devices and payroll
Firms with a biometric machine can import its attendance as CSV; Sampraxis matches punches to employees and lists the unmatched ones before importing. Attendance feeds the day’s labour in the daily progress report and the wages that post to the accounts. Payroll runs, payslips, leave and statutory remittances are also part of Sampraxis Project Management.
