Illustrative building and figures

Launching soon · Sampraxis CAD + Sampraxis Project Management

Design it. Build it. Prove it.

Beside this text an animated 3D model of an illustrative apartment block (stilt parking and four floors) is drawn as a plan, modelled in Sampraxis CAD, then built floor by floor in Sampraxis Project Management while a site log, cement issued per day and an S-curve of budget against actual cost move with it. Every figure it shows is illustrative and is written out in these chapters.

Sampraxis CAD turns a plan into an editable 3D building and its quantities. Sampraxis Project Management runs the site, the money and the proof that the work is real. Two products for Indian construction, on one record of the same building. Scroll to watch one go up.

Chapter 1 of the story: Design it. Build it. Prove it.

Sampraxis CAD · works in development builds

Draw once. The model carries the drawings and the quantities.

Walls host their doors and windows; slabs, columns, beams, footings and stairs follow. Cut a live section anywhere. Sheets at exact scale and finishes quantities come from the same elements, so nothing is drawn twice.

  • Plan drafting with grids, snaps and typed dimensions
  • Live sections and elevations synchronised with the model
  • Sheets A4–A1 exported to PDF, SVG and DXF
  • Finishes quantities today; the full BOQ is in development

Chapter 2 of the story: Draw once. The model carries the drawings and the quantities.

The hand-off · pilot rollout

The approved estimate becomes the plan.

Quantities from the drawings pass through rate analysis into a working estimate. Approved, it becomes an immutable baseline: a budget spread over the schedule, floor by floor. The subcontractor’s agreement fixes the scope of work, the rate and the deductions before anyone starts.

  • Design QTO from drawings; rate books and rate analysis
  • Working estimate and an approved, immutable baseline
  • Planned cost per task: the budget line of the S-curve
  • Subcontract agreement: scope, rate, retention and TDS

Chapter 3 of the story: The approved estimate becomes the plan.

Sampraxis Project Management · beta

Every day on site, recorded once.

Footings, columns, formwork, steel, the pour. The site engineer records each day once: work done against the task, labour from attendance, material from stock, photos. Every pour starts its own curing clock, with a start date, an end date and a daily log, and the next floor waits for it.

  • Daily progress report with photos, approved in the office
  • GPS attendance inside a geofence, with reasons for exceptions
  • Curing start and end dates for every pour, logged daily
  • Cube tests at 7 and 28 days against the target strength

Materials and money · beta

Every bag and every rupee, against the budget.

Walls rise behind the frame, then lintels, plaster, doors and windows. The cement issued each day comes off the stock that a GRN put there. The S-curve moves with the building: the budget that was planned, the value of the work done and what it has actually cost, so an overrun is seen the week it starts.

  • Cement and steel issued per day, against stock
  • Indent, quotation comparison, purchase order and GRN

Verified Construction Progress · built · in controlled pilot rollout

Reported progress is not trusted progress

Six facts stay apart: reported, measured, accepted, certified, billed and paid. Site measurement never rewrites the drawing quantity, a daily report never certifies completion, and quality acceptance never authorises payment. Each step has its own owner and its own evidence, and none quietly promotes the next.

Green

Required proof is applicable, available, fresh, aligned and passed.

Amber

Progress exists, but proof, variance, a decision or freshness needs action.

Red

A deterministic failure, blocker, rejection, over-use or unresolved NCR.

Not evaluable

Required truth is unavailable or unproven. Missing evidence is never shown as green.

Not applicable

The project’s approved profile does not require this source.

What a work package is checked against

  • Tasks and the approved baseline
  • Daily progress reports, labour and materials
  • Measurement Book entries
  • Photos
  • Quality inspections, cube and soil tests
  • Curing entries and daily logs
  • Drawings, revisions and the drawing register
  • RFI / RFC / TQ queries
  • Task approval gates
  • GRNs, purchase orders and difference notices
  • Earned value and variance

AI cites. It never decides.

The Copilot answers with its sources, their date and the rule version it used. It cannot approve a drawing, certify work, release a task, create a deduction, post accounts or pay anyone. Those stay with the people allowed to do them.

Status of this layer: engineered, tested and installed in production, dormant. It is activated per project and per rule, from observe to advisory to approval-assist to enforced, after qualification.

Model first. Every drawing and quantity follows.

Sampraxis CAD is being built model-first for Indian buildings: one authoritative building model, edited in plan or in 3D, from which sections, elevations, sheets and quantities are produced rather than drawn again. The three sheets below were generated from the same illustrative model as the building in the story.

Plan, section and elevation generated from one model: 129 walls, 137 doors and windows, 120 columns and 95 stair treads. Every quantity on this page is computed from it and labelled illustrative.

works in development builds

  • Lines and walls with typed lengths, grids, snaps, ortho and working planes
  • Walls host doors and windows; lintels, sills, finishes and skirting follow
  • Slabs, rooms and cut-outs, resized with live areas
  • Rectangular columns, beams, isolated footings, plinth beams and explicit junctions
  • Five stair layouts and straight ramps with headroom checks
  • Named levels, unified grids and independent floor copies

in testing

  • DXF and DWG import as a reviewed reference layer, aligned to levels
  • AI through MCP: inspect a project, propose elements, review, create, reconcile

in development

  • AI reads a complete drawing set and builds the editable model
  • Structural quantities and a full priced BOQ
  • Exchange with Sampraxis Project Management: approved BOQ in, revisions as differences to approve

AI through MCP · in testing

The assistant proposes. The CAD engine builds and measures.

With your permission an assistant such as Claude or Codex inspects a project and its imported drawings and proposes walls, openings and slabs. You review before anything is created; geometry and every quantity are calculated by Sampraxis CAD, not by the AI. In development builds a scripted MCP client has built a complete four-storey residence this way and saved it as an ordinary, hand-editable project.

The connection · one record from drawing to proof

Typed once. Carried through.

On most projects the drawing, the estimate, the site diary and the bills live in different tools, and every change is typed again. Sampraxis is built so one record carries through, and a drawing revision arrives as a difference to approve, not a surprise on site.

Teal steps happen in Sampraxis CAD, amber steps in Sampraxis Project Management. The hand-off between them is in development. How the two products connect

Your size · one app that adapts

As much process as you want. All the safety, always.

Pick a starting profile per project and switch families on as the job grows. A company can run one project simpler than another, and disabling a family never deletes its records.

  • Finance only

Money in and out, bills, ledgers and reports. No tasks, BOQ or DPR required.

  • Site diary & quality

Daily site log, photos, inspections and curing without a task plan.

  • Design coordination

Drawings, RFI / RFC / TQ, minutes and client decisions.

  • Commercial & subcontractor

Agreements, variations, work orders and claims.

  • Full construction

The complete chain from estimate to verified progress and payment.

Capability presets are in pilot rollout. Every project today runs the full configuration its company chose.

PMC consultancy

The client’s money runs the project. Vendor bills are paid on the client’s behalf and stay in the client’s project book; your fee is your income. Sampraxis for PMC consultants

Material or turnkey contract

You own the cost. Materials, labour and subcontractors are your expenses, the client pays your rates through RA bills, and every project posts to one company book. Sampraxis for civil contractors

  • Approval before payment

Money moves only after someone allowed to approve it has done so, with the approver bound to their login.

  • Who did what, always

Every amount keeps who entered it, who approved it and when.

  • Corrections by reversal

A posted entry is never edited in place; it is reversed and re-entered, so the history stays readable for you and your CA.

  • Same protection at every size

A solo contractor’s money is protected like a large builder’s. Safety is never a paid upgrade.

Who makes it

Made by an engineer who prepares these bills

Sampraxis is built by Sambireddy, a civil and structural engineer with experience in structural design, construction and project management consultancy since 2014. That practical experience shapes how Sampraxis handles drawings, measurement books, bills and site accounts. Read the story behind Sampraxis
