Design QTO
A quantity take-off package belongs to a project and a set of drawing revisions. Each line records the formula type, length, breadth and depth or a direct quantity, the unit it was entered in and the normalised quantity, the work type and location, and whether it adds or deducts. Versions are compared against the approved one, so a revision shows exactly which lines, deductions and sources changed before anyone approves it.
Rates and rate analysis
Rate books hold your rates in immutable versions. A rate can be a figure or a recipe: material, labour and plant lines with coefficients, wastage percentages and cost buckets that reproduce the rate exactly. Legacy rate sheets can be imported as drafts and reviewed before they become a version.
Working estimation and the approved baseline
- Estimate lines combine QTO quantities with rate-book rates; a source-impact preview shows what a changed quantity or rate does before you accept it.
- Submit, request changes, reject or approve: approval produces an immutable baseline with its own revision number.
- Compare any working estimate with the approved baseline, and export the lines as CSV.
Planned cost allocation
The approved value is allocated to tasks and subtasks explicitly. Sampraxis never spreads a budget equally across tasks to fill a gap: a positive unallocated value is rejected by the database and the screen alike. The allocation is what earned value, variance and the confidence engine weight progress by.
